HOW IT BEGAN
In August 2008, I started as a freelance sports writer working exclusively with the Orchard Park Press. As I grew completely enamored by the success of Orchard Park High School Sports, I became more involved in my work. I was attending so many sporting events that I eventually decided to purchase a camera and began selling photos to the Press.
Since that time, I have become increasingly infatuated with taking sports photos and wanted to find a way to combine photography with my writing and desire to create a greater project.
In the Fall of 2009, I was thinking of a way to offer more to the student-athletes, parents, alumni and fans of Orchard Park Sports. I decided to purchase orchardparksports.com.
The objective of this site is to provide articles, photos, news and information related to sports in Orchard Park. My coverage focuses primarily on high school, but I also cover college athletes, as well as other Orchard Park related sports.
My work will still be published in the Orchard Park Press. However, there is no affiliation between this site and the Orchard Park Press.
This site will be a continuous work-in-progress and I look forward to seeing what it becomes. Enjoy!
