In July 2008, I started as a freelance sports writer for the Orchard Park Press. I immediately loved the work and started attending so many sporting events that I decided to purchase a camera to sell photos to the newspaper and families.
Since that time, I have become increasingly infatuated with shooting sports photos and wanted to find a way to combine photography with my writing and desire to create a greater project.
In the Fall of 2009, I was thinking of a way to offer more to the student-athletes, parents, alumni, and fans of Orchard Park Sports. I decided to purchase orchardparksports.com.
The objective of this site is to provide articles, photos, news, and information relative to sports in Orchard Park. My coverage focuses primarily on high school, but I also cover college athletes, as well as other sports in Orchard Park.
In July 2012, my affiliation with the Orchard Park Press ended when the paper decided to stop publishing. I have continued my coverage of Orchard Park sports and developed the site into what you see today.
